These days a jam-packed lifestyle seems inevitable and the norm. Was it always this way, and I’m just fully experiencing this real life hustle that’s called, “adulting”? It just seems that every single friend, family member, or nutrition client of mine that I chat with is on the same mission to find more time to add into their day. No matter how your day is filled and what your daily responsibilities might be, I feel like we are all chasing time!

(sharing one of my favorite ways to win time back and stick to my healthy lifestyle, keep reading! I’ve partnered with Green Chefto give $75 off to all my readers)

As a holistic nutrition health coach I teach healthy and balanced lifestyles. A healthy Lifestyle is sacred, but our lifestyles happen to be one of the first things to crumble as life takes us in every possible direction. I’m personally always searching to …

The Decision…

I never thought I’d want to do a first look. I’m one of those wedding goers that loves to watch the groom as he sees his bride at the end of the aisle for the first time. And I absolutely did not want to take away from getting to experience that myself.

BUT… When our own wedding planning began, I started imagining dreaming of just the two of us getting to have a moment together before the wedding. I started thinking about what the whole day is about… the two of us, and the commitment we were making, but how hard it would be to get to have an intimate moment just “us”. As the details of our day started to come together, we realized how quickly the day would fly by and the time spent with our guests would be cut short if we were to save all of our pictures …

The dress. The beautiful gown the bride will be wearing the first time she see’s her groom. The gorgeous options of silk, taffeta, lace, tulle, etc. that little girls dream of dressing up in one day. It’s an important detail to the wedding day and I personally think a special rite of passage getting to try on all the gowns and step into that bridal role. And I’ve been wanting to share my personal experience and a few tips, especially because we gave ourselves a unique situation by choosing to plan our wedding in just about 15 weeks! Ah! So if you’re worried about getting your dress in time, I hope some of my tips at the end will have you covered. But First…

The First Gowns…

The first moment I tried on dresses was the day after we got engaged! Woo! No wasting time over here. It was a last minute …

Our First Home: Behind the Scenes

{Video Linked Below!}

I’m feeling incredibly sentimental as I reflect over this past year! It has been the absolute best, and a very BIG year with some of of my greatest life adventures: Getting engaged in the beginning of 2018, planning our wedding in under 4 months, getting married, and now buying our first home together! I thought I’d share a little behind the scenes of this newest adventure of our new home…

The Frustration I’ve never shared out loud Before…

Something I haven’t ever shared before is the fact that my determined husband started looking for homes before we were even engaged. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that determination… except that he would take me with him, and we would be dreaming of our future together. I would get so frustrated thinking, shouldn’t we at least be engaged to begin dreaming about making this big financial commitment together?! Haha. What I didn’t know is that he had the …

What Motivates you to MOVE?!

I asked you that question and you said…

“ME Time- breaking away from responsibilities for a moment”

“Being able to move is a GIFT.”

“MOOD”

“To enjoy the FOOD I want to”

“The way I feel AFTER”

“For my KIDS- to be able to keep up with them”

“ACCOUNTABILITY – sharing a goal, and having someone hold me to it.”

“To LIVE a long and happy Life”

I received HUNDREDS of answers when I asked this question, and I read every single one of them and was absolutely inspired by each response. I found myself incredibly motivated to get moving as I saw these answers coming through, so thank you for sharing!

I’m motivated to move for several reasons. The way it makes me feel. There truly is a “high” afterwards with those endorphins pumping through. I feel balanced: mind, body, and soul. It gives me energy. I feel confident knowing that I’m doing …

Stranded in Paradise + 5 Go to Gluten Free Eats North Shore Kauai

Favorites / Gluten-Free Me / Healthy Living / Married Life / Miscellaneous / Personal / Travel

Spending a weekend stranded in paradise with my husband was PURE Bliss!!!

We weren’t really stranded, but we had very limited access to anywhere but our family home in Haena, on the North Shore of Kauai.

Really quick explanation, due to some devastating rainfall in April 2018 the road to get to our Haena home is closed, except at specific times a day and for residents only, so once residents enter into their community, they hunker down. (Besides the daily convoy to work/school, but if you can avoid it, you do!) We were only dropping in for a long weekend, so the plan was to hunker down, and not leave our sweet home… except for one date night in town, because we do have a few favorites that we just can’t skip when we’re there. (I’m sharing my favorite spots to find some gluten free bites down below, scroll down if that’s what you’re here for!)

So we lived the …

Six Things that Changed the Day We Got Married

Favorites / Married Life / Miscellaneous / Personal

Six Months ago Taylor and I officially started our best adventure yet, as we said “I do.” Six months later from that very best day of our lives, I’m even more in love with him. And I LOVE that. It’s definitely a different kind of love. Don’t get me wrong, I still feel those mushy gushy “in love” feelings, but things really do change the day you get married, and enter into that forever covenant with one another. My love for Taylor became so real, raw, and deep, beyond what I could have imagined, and I can only imagine that it will continue to grow into something deeper and greater with all the wear and tear we will go through in our lifetime together! I’m excited for that. I’m understanding even more of how God loves us, without conditions, sure, some disappointment, but with so much grace, and with a GREAT GREAT love.

Being that this has been our greatest …

The Hardest Part of Marriage…

Favorites / Gluten-Free Me / Healthy Living / Married Life / Miscellaneous / Personal

Confession. The hardest part of marriage so far has had to do with ME. The day after we returned from our Mini-Moon, I instinctively went into my “ideal” of what being a “wife” was. I became crazed in responsibilities around our home. I ended up overwhelmed, and quickly burned myself out. I eventually learned that I had become crazed in my own expectations of myself. Taylor and I hadn’t really ever discussed expectations of responsibilities, because we hadn’t even thought of addressing it.

The day we came home from our mini-moon (you can learn more about that HERE) was the first time we began living together! So exciting, and something we had obviously both been looking forward to for a long time. But because we didn’t head out on our honeymoon until about a month after our wedding, we basically had the weekend of our wedding to live in the bubble of wedded bliss. And then the …
